Street Eats started with a single stall at a Camden pop-up market in 2019. Founders Priya and Jake had spent six months travelling through Southeast Asia, Mexico and the Middle East, eating street food from dawn to dusk and documenting everything they loved.
They returned to London and recreated every dish as faithfully as possible — importing specific ingredients, working with diaspora communities to refine the recipes and testing obsessively until every dish tasted genuinely authentic. Street food, done with total respect.
"The Korean BBQ bao buns are the real deal. The gochujang beef is properly fermented and spiced, the bao is pillowy soft and the pickled daikon cuts through the richness perfectly. Outstanding."
"The banh mi is the best I've had outside of Hoi An. The baguette is properly crusty, the pork belly is five-spice perfumed and the pickles have exactly the right sharpness. Remarkable."
"Ordered the street feast box for a group of six and everyone was delighted. The variety is brilliant — something for everyone, all beautifully made. The kimchi fries went in about 30 seconds."
"The jerk chicken wrap is a masterclass in seasoning. The scotch bonnet heat is real but balanced, the mango salsa is fresh and cooling and the coconut rice inside is something clever and delicious."
